Impromptu dance session in the winter sun

An impromptu dance session saw Thembalami Care Centre residents and some staff members loosening their muscles, swinging their hips and letting go of their inhibitions in the gentle winter sunshine on May 19. Those residents who did not feel like dancing, watched the fun while smiling and clapping along. Even wheelchair-bound residents participated by moving their heads and hands in time to the music. Pictured are residents Theuns de Bruin (left) and Claude Burn. In the background are resident Bill Keenan and deputy manager Elize Raath, a-shaking and a-moving.

Being wheelchair-bound did not stop residents Val Prior (left) and Celia Fish from moving to the music.

Enjoying the winter sun is Grace Masokwe.

Lily Eales claps to the beat of the music.

Anette Mather loses herself in the moment.
