Thornhill Manor extends hand of friendship to Edenvale hospice

In a meaningful expression of compassion and community spirit, the Thornhill Manor Retirement Village Chapel Committee recently donated essential cleaning products and incontinence support products to the Edenvale Care Centre Hospice.

The chapel congregation donated cash and essential supplies, including incontinence and cleaning products, with a total value of R4 100.

“Cleaning products help maintain a hygienic, comfortable environment for patients, while incontinence support products are essential in providing dignified personal care for individuals who are immobile or nearing the end of life,” says Karen Griessel, Thornhill Manor’s social worker.

Hospice care focuses on providing holistic, person-centred support to individuals living with life-limiting or terminal illnesses. Rather than concentrating on curing disease, hospice teams prioritise comfort, symptom management and quality of life.
