Slippers keep gogos warm this winter

Gogos from Thembalami Care Centre’s Zamokuhle outreach programme will be much warmer this winter, thanks to each receiving a pair of slippers from Tupperware.

Mamello Mphahlele and Gerda Heyneke from Tupperware recently visited the gogos at Rand Aid’s Thembalami Care Centre and gave each one a pair of slippers as part of its corporate social investment programme.

“As this was the gogos’ last gathering at Thembalami, due to funding for the programme being cut by the Department of Social Development, they were so happy to receive this very special gift from Tupperware,” says Elize Raath, Thembalami’s deputy manager.

“They love their new slippers, which will keep them extra warm this winter,” she adds.
