Joyful June birthday bash brings music and cheer to Thembalami and MODA residents

Thembalami Care Centre and the Max Ordman Deaf Association (MODA) were filled with music, laughter and celebration on Tuesday, 18 June, as residents came together for their monthly birthday bash.

Six residents who celebrated their birthdays in June were honoured during the cheerful gathering. The event was made extra special by entertainer Wayne Wilmot, who performed lively dance music that got everyone on their feet.

“Residents and staff alike enjoyed dancing and singing along, creating a joyful and inclusive atmosphere,” says Tsakani Shihlomule, Thembalami’s occupational therapist.

The celebration ended on a sweet note with tea, coffee and delicious birthday cake shared among all. The event once again highlighted the strong sense of community and care at both Thembalami and MODA.
