Dancing and clapping erupted at Thembalami and the Max Ordman Deaf Association’s (MODA) July birthday bash on July 24 when entertainer Pastor Roy Edwards got the party started with a selection of vibey music.
“He is an energetic entertainer and sings beautifully,” says deputy manager Elize Raath.
Lydia Elliot (76) was the only MODA resident with a birthday in July.
Jullianna Szombati at 87 is the oldest resident with a birthday in July.
Martha Diemieniet with Peggy Kupa and Babalwa Gadara (both occupational therapy assistants). Martha turned 76 on July 25 and her son Mandre Pretorius brought cake for the staff to enjoy with his mother, in thanks for all they do for her.
