Heads were scratched, suggested answers whispered, and merriment reigned at the fun quiz evening organised by Elphino’s Wanda de Groot on September 2.
As always, Elphin Lodge resident Brian Appleton was the quizmaster, a job that suits him to a T, with his trademark British humour.
“The evening is about fun!” says Wanda, “and the questions are not too taxing.”
Four rounds are played, with a small prize going to all members of the winning team. The overall winners of the night earn a voucher to return to Elphino’s coffee shop to sample some of the coffee shop’s delectable fare.
The entry fee includes a meal – and the guarantee of plenty of cheer.
