RSCC celebrates Women’s Day

Ron Smith Care Centre hosted a high tea on 6 August, in celebration of Women’s Day on 9 August.

Rand Aid’s Cookchill catered the teatime treats and the residents were spoilt with sausage rolls, mini quiche, mini milk tarts and chocolate eclairs.

“All the staff embraced the challenge of setting tables for the high tea, as there were prizes for the best set tables. At the end of the day, we had a difficult time choosing and all six Ron Smith Care Centre wings won the competition,” says Rand Aid’s senior nursing manager Avril Maltman.

“We also had competitions for the best-dressed resident and best-dressed staff member,” she adds.

The high tea was held in Ron Smith Care Centre’s beautiful grounds and the residents thoroughly enjoyed their morning out in the sun.

The prizes were handed out to residents and staff amongst plentiful jubilation.
