Elphin Lodge retirement village recently hosted a highly successful craft market that drew a large crowd of Rand Aid residents and families.
The event, held on Saturday, November 23, showcased a wide array of handcrafted items created by Elphin residents and external vendors.
The market featured a diverse selection of products, including artwork, items handcrafted by members of the Men’s Shed, art club and garden club and delectable baked goods. To complement the shopping experience, various food stalls were set up, offering a variety of culinary delights.
A highlight of the event was the November 2024 Jokers Jackpot draw, which added to the excitement. Sadly, no one won and the prize money has rolled over.
Residents and attendees alike enjoyed the beautiful weather and the opportunity to socialise and support local artisans. One resident expressed their enthusiasm, stating, “I want to congratulate and thank you all for the contribution and hard work you put into making the market such a wonderful success this morning. It was amazing! well done!”
The successful craft market at Elphin Lodge not only showcased the talents of the residents but also fostered a sense of community.
