Thornhill Manor residents and caregivers from the Happy Chatters occupational therapy group recently gathered at Piatto Restaurant and Grill in Stoneridge to enjoy a festive breakfast.
This special group shares a unique connection forged through caring and supportive relationships.
Karen Griessel, the social worker at Thornhill Manor, emphasises the importance of building strong relationships between older persons and their caregivers. Such bonds foster trust, comfort, and a positive caregiving experience. “A strong connection enhances the quality of care and contributes to the emotional well-being of both the caregiver and the resident,” she says.
