What could be more wholesome than older adults and children spending time baking and playing games?
That’s exactly what happened on Saturday, November 8, when the 1st St Benedict’s Cub Pack and 1st Edenvale Cub Pack and their parents visited the residents of the Max Ordman Deaf Association (MODA).
Residents and their young visitors posed happily for photographs before challenging each other to a variety of games, including cards, dominoes and Rummikub.
“The baking session was a huge hit,” says occupational therapy assistant Peggy Kupa. “The aroma of freshly baked cupcakes filled the air, and everyone’s eyes lit up as they decorated their treats. It was wonderful to see our residents getting creative and having so much fun.”
