Elphin Lodge supports Go Turquoise with talks to promote well-being

Elphin Lodge has launched a four-week Go Turquoise campaign featuring weekly talks aimed at promoting healthy ageing, emotional well-being and community connection.

The programme, which runs from May 20 to June 10, includes a series of Wednesday morning sessions held at Elphin Hall at 10:00, with refreshments served. Topics range from active ageing and life purpose to emotional resilience and cognitive fitness.

Elphin Lodge social worker Thuli Ngoma says the campaign is about more than awareness alone.

“The Go Turquoise Campaign allows us to create space for learning, connection and support within our community,” she says.

As part of the programme, biokineticist Julia Wright has already spoken on active ageing, while upcoming sessions include:

  • Elphin Lodge manager Debbie Beech: A life worth living on May 27.
  • Life coach Brian Greenblatt: Worry and fear on June 3, and Cognitive fitness on June 10.

The talks are open to all.

Ron Street, Wendy Martin and Shirley Cosser listen to the talk on May 20.
