Men in red work wear could be seen on ladders – chainsaws in hand – recently, when Elphin Lodge’s myriad of trees were given a thorough pruning. The team of tree cutters removed trees affected by borers and those affecting sewerage lines, removed old or damaged branches and raised the crowns of trees by removing lower limbs to lighten and shape them. The Rand Aid retirement village’s 13-hectares of land are kept beautifully maintained to not only uphold the standard of the property but to ensure residents and their families are given every reason to enjoy the wonderful outdoors.
