Hugh and Jordan win Inyoni potato-growing challenge

Inyoni Creek’s potato-in-a bucket challenge winners have been announced!

The winner for the largest potato was Inyoni Creek’s oldest male resident Hugh Cunningham (96), weighing in at 280 grams; while Jordan de Jager, Inyoni Creek manager Jenny Tonkin’s grandson, harvested the most potatoes, weighing in at 980 grams.

“Thank you to all who competed in our challenge. It was interesting that the oldest and youngest competitors won. It was really a lot of fun and a special thank you to Steve Foster for organising the event and to Mike Edwards, Stan Rodkin and Mel Stamelman for assisting,” says Jenny.

“It was a lovely vibe and hopefully the start of many events to follow,” she adds.
