Rand Aid’s Thembalami Care Centre and Max Ordman Deaf Association residents and the ‘Gogos’ from the care centre’s Zamokuhle outreach programme enjoyed a festive Christmas lunch on 2 December, prepared by Steve Burton and his team from Rand Aid’s Cookchill.
“A special thank you to Val Bartram and the Inyoni Angels, who provided gifts for our residents and made them feel so special,” says Thembalami manager Esme van der Walt.
Thank you also to Greg Mitchley, from the Greg Mitchley Foundation, who played Santa on the day; and to AVBOB (Marie O’Neil and Heidi Du Plessis) which sponsored the magical music from singer Bernadine Theron. They also spoilt our residents with chocolate goodie bags.
Thembalami also made Christmas special for its ‘Gogos’, who all received a gift.
