Care bags bring joy to elders

Rand Aid’s Thembalami Care Centre and Max Ordman Deaf Association (MODA) residents received 160 care bags on 9 December, filled with various goodies from a number of companies, including Hotel Amenities Suppliers, Sterile Pic & Promo Sachets and Master Guard Fabric Protection.

“We distributed the bags to residents just before Christmas. They were heavy and full of all sorts of toiletries,” says Elize Raath, Thembalami’s deputy manager.

“Our residents were so surprised and some said that due to the very generous donations, they would not have to buy toiletries for the next year,” she adds.
