Inyoni Creek invites Rand Aid family to a spring fun day

This spring, Inyoni Creek retirement village in Johannesburg east will celebrate with a fun day featuring carnival-themed games, entertainment and eats.

Residents of Rand Aid villages and care centres must block off Saturday, September 19, in their diaries and bring along family members or friends for a morning of friendship, food, fun and shopping.

Books, cakes, plants, natural handmade soaps and creams, handcrafted wooden toys and greeting cards are among the items on sale.

Tickets can also be bought for hampers and the village’s Joker’s Jackpot. Get your ticket and, if the hidden joker card is revealed, the jackpot could be yours!

There will be plenty of entertainment, including darts-, golf- and stake-your-claim stalls.

And once you’ve worked up an appetite, you can grab a boerie roll, chicken prego, pancake or muffin, and wash it all down with tea, coffee or a cool drink.

The fun day will take place at the village clubhouse from 9am.

Looking for a quality toy that’s not mass-produced? Roger Matthews and other members of the George Green Men’s Shed are crafting a range of wooden treasures that will be on sale at Inyoni Creek’s spring fun day.
