A sweet thank-you for Thornhill Manor general assistants

On February 17, Thornhill Manor Retirement Village took time to celebrate the dedication of its general assistants, whose hard work keeps the village running smoothly every day.

Following the Valentine’s sing-along – which brought together Rand Aid residents from Thornhill Manor, Thembalami Care Centre and the Max Ordman Deaf Association – a cake specially baked by Thembalami for the event was shared with the village staff as a heartfelt token of appreciation.

“Recognising our staff is so important,” said Thornhill Manor social worker Karen Griessel. “They give so much to our residents every day, and this was a small way to say thank you for everything they do.”

Gratitude was also extended to Thembalami manager Esme van der Walt for making the cake available and supporting the initiative to acknowledge the team’s efforts.
