Residents at Tarentaal Village were on their feet, singing and swaying as well-known Elvis tribute artist Wayne Venter brought a morning of music and nostalgia to the village on June 25.
Wayne entertained residents with a lively performance featuring not only Elvis Presley favourites but also a selection of beloved golden oldies that had the audience singing along from the first song to the last.
Village manager Tammy Neilson says the performance created a special atmosphere and brought residents together through music.
“I have never seen the residents have so much fun,” she says.
Many residents got up and danced, while others stayed seated but moved to the rhythm, swaying their arms and bodies. Songs such as Sweet Caroline sparked enthusiastic singalongs, with residents joining in with gusto and filling the room with energy and laughter.
The event offered residents an opportunity to enjoy familiar music and create joyful memories together.
