Record number of stalls adds to Thornhill Manor fete buzz

Perfect weather, a buzzing atmosphere and a record number of outside stalls made Thornhill Manor’s Family Fun Day and Fête on October 10 one to remember.

Village manager Shaun Victor says the event drew an outstanding turnout, with residents and visitors enjoying a morning of shopping, food and entertainment.

“The village was buzzing with activity, with a fantastic atmosphere throughout the day and plenty for everyone to enjoy,” he said.

The fete featured stalls selling handmade toys, jewellery, clothing, books, plants, scented candles, artisanal bread and Italian biscotti, while food options included boerewors rolls, hamburgers, pancakes and freshly baked cakes.

Children enjoyed ice cream and a jumping castle, while the tea garden provided a place for visitors to relax.

Shaun thanked the residents and organising committee for making the event a success, as well as the stallholders and everyone who attended.
