Lakeside Village’s entertainment committee run by Dale Parish always makes arrangements for exciting and enjoyable activities for the residents of this boomed community in Modderfontein. Rand Aid’s Thornhill Manor is located within Lakeside Village and is thus always included in these activities. On Friday, February 21, a quiz was held in Thornhill Manor’s hall for all Lakeside Village residents. “Teams consisted of six people and everyone brought their own food and drinks,” says Thornhill Manor deputy manager Jackie Scott. “Lakeside supplied a number of prizes.” Pictured is one of the Thornhill Manor teams, the ‘Golden Oldies’, which came second. Each team member won a bottle of red wine. From left to right are Bonnie Gosher, Dale Cherrington, Maryke Ewen, Erna Lloyd, Felicity Peter and Syd Gosher.
