SANCA Wedge Gardens’ Adele relocates to Cape Town

SANCA Wedge Gardens’ Amanda van Staden (therapist), Adèl Grobbelaar (manager), Estelle Raath (deputy manager) and Adele Nel (sitting).

SANCA Wedge Gardens’ Adele Nel has left the substance abuse treatment centre after 15 years of loyal and dedicated service to start a new life in Cape Town.

When Adele initially started working for SANCA Wedge Gardens, it was only for a few hours per week. But, before she knew it she joined the team in a mornings-only position, five days a week!

Adele’s experience with trauma counselling and employee assistance programmes not only served SANCA Wedge Gardens, but the entire Rand Aid.

“It was an absolute privilege to work with her in a multi-professional team.  She always brought a different view to the table and worked towards problem-solving. She maintained exceptional ethics and relationships with colleagues and beneficiaries in the programme,” says Adèl Grobbelaar, SANCA Wedge Gardens’ manager.

“Over the years, we have tried various programmes at Wedge and Adele was always keen to experiment with new approaches. We are very sad to see her go but wish her everything of the best for her future in Cape Town,” she adds.
