Rand Aid Inyoni Creek retirement village resident Julie Strous celebrated her 90th birthday on 1 May.
She marked her 90th milestone by having a lunch with her daughter Jenny Strous. “It was lovely,” she says.
In September, Julie will have been a resident of Inyoni Creek for 12 years.
“I love it here, it’s very quiet and peaceful and has a lovey atmosphere,” she says.
Julie, who enjoys reading, going for walks and watching TV at night, completed her BA degree in her 30s.
During her working life, she helped her husband David in his business. David, who has passed away, owned several butcheries in Durban.
Julie is a proud mom of three. She also has four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
