Thornhill Manor Retirement Village residents were treated to an afternoon of classic tunes at a well-attended sing-along event in the village hall on Sunday, May 19.
The programme featured a selection of golden oldies that had many tapping their feet and singing along.
Gretha Pecoraro played the piano, with Bev I’ons assisting by managing the sheet music. Brian Burls sang, bringing a steady vocal presence to each song, while Gavin Standing supported the performance with his guitar and vocals.
“The atmosphere was upbeat, with residents enjoying the chance to revisit well-loved melodies in good company,” says Thornhill Manor manager Shaun Victor. “The sing-along proved once again that music, especially the classics, remains a popular activity.
“Thank you to Gretha, Bev, Brian, and Gavin for an afternoon of great entertainment, and to all who attended for helping to make it such a success.”
