Beautiful spring weather and a great turnout set the scene for a morning of fun, friendship, shopping and good food at Inyoni Creek retirement village’s fun day on Saturday, September 19.
Visitors browsed stalls offering everything from books, cakes and plants to natural handmade soaps and creams, handcrafted wooden toys and greeting cards. There were also plenty of opportunities to test their skills at the darts, golf and stake-your-claim stalls.
Food and refreshments added to the festive atmosphere, with boerie rolls, chicken pregos, pancakes, muffins, tea, coffee and cool drinks on offer.
“It was fantastic to see the clubhouse and grounds buzzing with laughter and families enjoying themselves together. We loved seeing residents from our different Rand Aid villages and care centres coming out to support us – it really felt like one big Rand Aid family having fun together,” says Inyoni Creek manager Jenny Tonkin.
