Boots, beats and big smiles at Tarentaal village

Residents are stepping in time and keeping active at Tarentaal Village’s weekly line dancing sessions, where music, movement and laughter fill the village hall every Tuesday morning.

Participants enjoy the chance to exercise, connect with friends and learn new routines together. The activity involves a group of people performing the same dance steps in unison, all facing the same direction and moving together to the rhythm of the music.

Tarentaal Village deputy manager Lynn Barrow says activities such as line dancing play an important role in retirement village life.

“Line dancing is not only great physical exercise, but it also boosts mental well-being and creates a wonderful sense of community among residents. Activities like these encourage social interaction, keep residents active and give everyone something fun to look forward to each week,” says Lynn.

Line dancing takes place every Tuesday at 10am in the Tarentaal village hall, and everyone is welcome to join in.
