Brian Gillespie won both the knockout championship and the handicap competition. Way to go, Brian. Better luck next time to Terry Riley who was second in both competitions.
We also retained the RA Challenge Trophy although we played to a draw in a match against Elphin. It has to be won outright by the challenger to change hands. Inyoni should consider making a challenge to increase the fun of this competition.
“Snooker at Thornhill has come along well in the few years of its history. We now have over 25 players playing regularly, and a competitive ladder, certainly as regards the top-ranked players – and I say this with personal experience of many hard-fought encounters,” says David Webster. “I hope that snooker will continue to provide much pleasure to the men (and women) of Thornhill who participate.”
