If you knew that Eartha Kitt sang Just an Old Fashioned Girl, you would have scored a point for your team at the Valentine’s-themed quiz held at the Elphin Lodge clubhouse on February 24.
Organised by resident Crystal Smart, ably assisted by quiz master Sue Dickinson, the quiz was great fun, despite only three teams entering.
Keep an eye on the village newsletter to see when the next quiz will be held and either organise a team of four or come along on your own. You will be accommodated in one of the existing teams, and probably walk away having made a new friend or two. The cost is R20 per person and includes afternoon tea and refreshments.
Also, look out for the dates for bingo and table tennis, which start this month.
